Notas de "The Wine Advocate"
The powerful 2016 El Puño Garnacha was also sourced from vineyards on slate soils. It fermented in concrete vats with extended maceration and aged in used, well-seasoned 500-liter oak barrels. There is a spicy twist from the oak, but it's nicely integrated, as you have to be very careful to not overoak Garnacha. So, here the barrels utilized for aging are used and quite neutral. It has floral notes and a medium-bodied palate but with clout. 3,500 bottles were filled in October 2018.
