Duband's 2017 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru is firmer and more structured, and this is one wine that will need a little time. Unwinding in the glass with aromas of cherries, licorice, anise and cinnamon, as well as a lifted top note of potpourri, it's medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy, displaying a broad-shouldered chassis of powdery tannin. Drink date 2027-2050.
