Elaboración: Filosofía ecológica. Crianza de 8 meses en 50% barricas nuevas y 50% seminuevas de roble francés de 400L y 500L.

Notas de Parker sobre la añada 2012: "The 2012 Malpaso is pure Syrah from an 18-20 year old vineyard on trellises outside the boundaries of Gredos in the Méntrida DO. The full clusters fermented with indigenous yeasts in open 1,500-liter vats and the wine aged for one year in French 500-liter barrels to produce 11,500 bottles. This is a completely different animal, as the Syrah character dominated to give it a profile that is between Northern Rhône (violets and smoke bacon) and New World (balsamic, aromatic herbs, hinting on eucalyptus). This results in a very showy and attractive nose. The palate is medium-bodied and shows good freshness with clean acidity and delineated, pure flavors. This is a real pleasure to drink, and is a very good value. Bravo!"

Notas de cata de Peñín sobre la añada 2012: Color cereza oscuro, borde granate. Aroma especiado, hierbas de monte, cerrado, expresivo, mineral. Boca estructurado, lleno, taninos maduros.
